The project is a result of rethinking a 17th century dutch chair from Zaandam.
The outcome is a reaction to the status and nationality symbol that the chair represents and is resulting in a transparent object made of plexiglass, with a compartment filled with water.
The following statement was written to accompany the object, through which different landscapes and environments were projected:
Decoration related to a specific environment
is gone,
shape is simplified,
Status symbol is gone.
There is no more relation to place or nationality,
the boats on the painting are gone.
Only water remains .
Only a transparent figure remains
and blends everywhere.
